house park anyone?

so with the plaza in the works, I think we should get a final house park montage before it’s blown. The green (or now gray) park has served many well, but we should kill it now so it can take a willing demolition. Hopefully actual dates will come into play here within the month or so, it’s time Austin gets it’s plaza.

Welcome
Posted by fletcher | Filed under Uncategorized
Hello everyone, and welcome to the beginnings of what will soon evolve into the official website for No Comply Skateshop, located in the heart of Austin, Texas.
My name is Fletcher Berndt and I am lucky enough to be one of several individuals that are collaborating to hopefully form this site into an accurate and positive manifestation of what the No Comply owners, team riders, and family stand for. In addition, we hope to be a relevant and useful source of information for current events or happenings within the Austin skate scene. Furthermore, of course, viewers of the site will be able to get a glimpse of new products arriving at No Comply as soon as they get in.
Thus, we collectively hope that this blog-style aspect of the site will serve as an organic and evolving representation of Austin skateboarding through No Comply. It will be constantly updated by several individuals such as myself, the owners of No Comply, and several other Austin filmers, photographers, and writers that share a deep love for and knowledge of Austin skateboarding. Viewers of this site should expect frequent video and photography updates, as well as written information, all relating to Austin skateboarding, of course.
In the decade I have been skateboarding in Austin, a number of shops have risen and faded out. While they have all played their part in the development of Austin’s unique skate scene, in my eyes No Comply is the first skateboard shop in this city that truly and accurately embodies the essence of Austin skateboarding. This, to me, is the ultimate role of a skateshop. A well-run skateshop should become a rallying point, a place of pride, for the skateboarders of its city. No Comply is this shop!
So without further interruption, we present No Comply’s official website, www.nocomplyatx.com. We urge anybody who is interested to check the site frequently, get involved, and take pride in a skateshop that truly represents and supports Austin skateboarding.

Houston Skatepark Grand Opening

Here are pictures and short videos of Houston’s new downtown skatepark. Also a few pics of Eazy 7 which I highly recommend.

Pros: Large skatepark with good street park. Has two bowl systems. The larger of the two is the biggest one I’ve ever seen.
Cons: You have to wear helmets. Also they have lifeguards there to enforce it. I have inside sources that they were telling the kiddies not to curse.
